Street Sign Sale

Following the recent replacement of Sea Isle City’s green street signs with easier-to-read new signs, the City’s Administration will host a “first-come-first-served” event to sell the old signs on Saturday, August 6, inside the Community Lodge at 300 JFK Boulevard, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (or until the signs sell-out).

The “Street Sign Sale” will be open to Sea Isle City property owners and year-round residents, who will be asked to line-up outside of the Community Lodge’s “parking lot” entrance on the morning of August 6.  Then, at 8:00 AM, City officials will invite the buyers to step inside the Lodge in groups to purchase the street signs of their choice. All buyers will be served in the order they are in line. 

Signs from nearly every street and avenue in Sea Isle City will be included in the sale – however quantities from certain streets are extremely limited.  The following signs are not available: 14th Street, 26th Street, 44th Place, 86th Street and 90th Street.

No advance sales will take place, and buyers cannot reserve street signs that they wish to purchase.  Each person attending the sale will be permitted to purchase a maximum of three (3) street signs; and each sign will be sold “as is.”

The cost will be $35 per sign. Cash or checks only will be accepted; however checks are preferred. If paying with cash, buyers are asked to bring the exact amount with them if possible.

If the morning of August 6 is hot or humid, buyers are reminded to bring hats and bottled water with them in order to keep cool while waiting outside in line.
