Beach Tags
Beach tags are required for all beaches from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, 10am-5pm. They may be purchased at the Welcome Center or from one of the beach badge inspectors on the beach in season. Tags are not required on Wednesdays.
2026 Holiday Beach Tags
Sea Isle City’s 2026 “Holiday” Beach Tags will go on sale starting Friday, November 21 at the pre-season rate of $25 each at the following locations:
Online purchases using a credit card can be made at https://www.jerseycapetags.com/ (shipped to your home, for an additional fee).
Weekdays at the Tax Office at City Hall, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
The Beach Tag Vending Machine in the Lobby of City Hall, available 24/7.
Saturdays at the Welcome Center, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (beginning November 23).
Limited Edition 2026 “Environmental Commission” Beach Tags are also still available (while supplies last). Just like Holiday Beach Tags, Environmental Commission Beach Tags serve as seasonal beach passes for the entire 2026 summer season, and they are a “must” for every beach tag collection.
2026 Beach Tags Dates to Remember
April 1
The Welcome Center’s Beach Tag Office will be open 7 days a week.
2026 Veterans Beach Tags will be available at the Welcome Center.
Those who purchased 2026 Seasonal Beach Tags using the city’s “Post Card” mail-in system can pick-up their purchases at the Welcome Center starting April 1.
May 15
The pre-season beach tag rate expires, and the cost of beach tags increases from $25 to $30.
May 23-Labor Day
Beach tags are required on Sea Isle City’s beaches for all beachgoers age 12 and older, every day except Wednesdays, 10am to 5pm.

Beach Tag Vending Machine
You can purchase Seasonal beach tags any hour of the day or night. Sea Isle City’s vending machine, located in the lobby of City Hall, 233 JFK Boulevard, is accessible 24/7. The vending machine accepts cash only (ones, fives, tens and twenties). Please use exact amount.
Digital Beach Tags Via My Beach Mobile App
Digital Beach Tags are available via the “My Beach Mobile” app using a debit or credit card (a fee will apply). Weekly or daily tags are completely digital (using your smart phone). Seasonal Tags can be digital or if you prefer a physical tag you can purchase them through the app and pick them up in person at the Welcome Center after April 1st during business hours. Detailed pickup instructions will be available in the app after purchase. Weekly and seasonal tags are transferable but can only be accessed on one device at a time. You can also store multiple tags on a single device for convenient management. All purchases are final. Digital badges cannot be traded for physical badges. Beach Tags for Active Military
and Veterans In Honor of Their Service
Branches of service include: United States Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, as well as members of the United States Coast Guard and the New Jersey National Guard.
Active Military
Complimentary “weekly” beach tags will be issued for qualified active-duty military personnel and their family members.
DD1173 (Identification and Privilege Card) must be presented.
Military personnel, spouse/civil union partner and dependent children age 12 years and older.
Veterans
One complimentary veteran beach tag will be issued per qualified veteran (valid for the entire summer season).
Proof of Veteran status required.
Any veteran who has served and was released through honorable discharge with at least 90 days active duty or released from active duty by reason of a service incurred injury or disability.
Qualifying veteran must be present at the time of the request.
Veteran tags are only available at the Beach Tag office.
Active military and veteran beach tags are not transferable.
