Policies & Regulations
Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in all public areas.
Smoking and the use of vaping products are prohibited on Sea Isle City beaches, beach approaches, dune paths and public parks.
A beach curfew is in effect from 10pm to 6am May through Sept.
Dogs are not permitted on the beaches from May 1 to Sept. 30.
Fires, glass bottles and picnics are prohibited on all Sea Isle City beaches.
No trespassing, playing on or destruction of dunes at any time.
From September 15 through May 15 you may drive a permitted vehicle on the beach. Beach vehicle permits are available from the records department at the police station.
Beach Safety and Etiquette
Only enter the water on protected beaches while lifeguards are on duty. Use caution whenever you enter the ocean, never turn your back on the waves, and keep off rock jetties.
Don’t leave umbrellas or tents unattended. The wind can easily carry away an umbrella or tent that is not properly secured, and their poles can injure other beachgoers.
Keep an eye on your children. Instruct your children to go to the lifeguard stand and ask the guard for help if they become lost.
Do not feed the seagulls. Seagulls can become aggressive, especially when food is present. Also, human food is not healthy for wildlife – and seagulls can bite!
Alcohol is prohibited. Local police officers often walk the beach in plain-clothing, so avoid a fine and leave all alcoholic beverages at home.
No Smoking. Smoking and the use of vaping products are prohibited on Sea Isle City’s beaches, beach approaches and dune paths throughout the year.
No profanity or loud music please! Remember that voices carry and not everyone shares the same taste in music – and there are families all around you.
Dispose of trash & recycling properly. If you carry it on, carry it off – and don’t let the wind blow away food wrappers.
